Actions

Last week was a good one, albeit filled with sick children and ultimately a sick momma. We are all pretty much better now. I am enjoying my word of the year process. I seem to have planned just the right amount of interaction for me. I like finding a quote each week which helps me continue to finding more peace of mind. I am doing a fair amount of meditation through sewing which is unusual for this time of year given that it is high season, but I feel it is helping me. I wish that my free time was leading me to a yoga mat, but not yet.

I like this quote. I found it last week on a list of peace quotes and went in search for its author this morning. All I come up with is unknown. Have a great week!

Peace Process

So I missed a week. I read an article last week here about setting intentions rather than resolutions. I like it. I am realistic in the fact that I can't do everything I set out to do perfectly or 100% of the time. However, I can make a good effort. I have a mantra that I repeat to myself here in Bocas on a regular basis. Poco a poco. Little by little. I have learned that I can't change things overnight. I can change things a little at a time if I work on it. So this week's quote hit me right in the same spot - naturally. Working on peace in my life is a process. One that is going to take time. I must work on it each day, each week, each month and for that matter over a course of years. Have a great week.

Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures.

Peace of Mind

I have had trouble sleeping over the last week for no particular reason. For one reason or another I have been awakened early in the morning. It has given me time to think about things. So this quote sits well with me this week as it is so very true.

If you lose your possessions, you've lost a lot. If you lose your health, you've lost a great deal. But if you lose your peace of mind, you've lost everything.
