Today was a good day. The advent calendar activity was to decorate the kids' rooms. Easy. I cut up some paper for them to make paper chains. They worked on the chains. I planned on finishing up the last of my handmade Christmas gifts, but no such luck. The kids were so taken with decorating that instead of decorating their room, they were ready to move onto the dining room. I had not expected to take on that project, but with their insistence I did. Today was a reminder that Christmas is all about them. Listening to that reminder was the right thing to do. I am glad we did.
